Adelaide Airport Ltd has promoted its chief financial officer Mark Young to managing director, replacing Phil Baker, 63, who led the company from its successful acquisition from the Commonwealth Government in 1998.
Young, who had previous finance executive experience with food company San Remo and engineering contractor Macmahon Holdings, joined AAL in 2001.
Chairman David Munt said Young had played a key role in AAL’s expansion, including the leadership of last year’s $405 million capital raising. He will take over the chief executive’s role on November 1 and Baker will leave on December 31 after a transition period.
