Cessna has launched the new 10-seat Citation Latitude midsize business jet, which will sit between the Citation XLS+ and Citation Sovereign in its product line-up.
Planned to fly in mid 2014 ahead of service entry in 2015, the Latitude will seat two crew and up to eight passengers in a new 1.95m wide by 1.83m high, flat floor main cabin. It will have a max cruising speed of 442kt, a range of 2000nm, and is priced at US$14.9 million.
“The Citation Latitude is a game-changer for the midsize segment, offering the payload, speed and range the market requires with an unmatched cabin experience at this price point,” said Brad Thress, senior vice president, Cessna Business Jets.
The new jet’s Garmin G5000 integrated avionics system equipped flightdeck will feature three 36cm primary and multifunction displays and four touch screen panels, while the aircraft will also feature Cessna’s Clairity “intelligent cabin technology solution”, which, according to Cessna, can “integrate cabin electrical systems and data and communication sharing through a fibre optic backbone”.
Cessna announced the Latitude on October 10 at the NBAA Convention in Las Vegas, where a cabin mockup of the new jet is on display. The Latitude is Cessna’s second new product launch in two weeks, following the launch of the Citation M2 late last month.
