Brisbane Airport's expanded Common User Terminal.

The Brisbane Airport Corporation has reported steady growth for the 2010-11 financial year even as flooding and the high Australian dollar hurt the travel industry.

Domestic passengers increased by six per cent to 15.8 million while international passengers rose by 3.6 per cent to 4.2 million. The company said the passenger numbers were a record for the airport “despite challenging times.”

Pre-tax profits grew from $142 million to $148 million, the company reported.
