The rear fuselage section for the first A350 XWB to be assembled has arrived at Airbus’s A350 XWB Final Assembly Line in Toulouse.

The rear fuselage section, assembled at Airbus’s Hamburg plant, comprises the rear fuselage barrel, produced at Airbus’s Getafe plant in Spain, two lateral aft fuselage panels made by Premium AEROTEC in Germany, plus the upper and lower aft fuselage panels manufactured by Airbus in Stade, Germany.

The first A350 XWB airframe will be used for static structural testing. Airbus says assembly of the first flying A350, MSN1, will commence in the northern summer.
