Qantas expands UNICEF partnership

From September, Qantas Frequent Flyer members will be able to make donations to UNICEF using their Frequent Flyer points.

Qantas is celebrating its 21 year partnership with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) through its ‘Change for Good’ program, and has opened up a new way for its Frequent Flyer members to contribute to the international charity.

Under the program, passengers on board Qantas flights are encouraged to leave donations of small change of any currency in envelopes distributed in-flight, with the funds then passed on to UNICEF.

From September, Frequent Flyer members will be able to use their points to donate funds to UNICEF to assist with key projects worldwide.

“We are exceptionally proud to be a partner of UNICEF and through the efforts of our crew and generous donations from our customers, be in a position to turn small change into big benefits for children in the most challenging environments,” said Qantas CEO Alan Joyce.
