Qatar Airways will be the first airline to fly the 787 to Australia following the airline’s announcement it will introduce the new aircraft on services between Doha and Perth.

From February 1 Qatar Airways will begin using the 787 on its daily QR900 flights, which will connect with onward services in Doha to 80 destinations including 30 in Europe.  The aircraft will be configured with 22 business and 232 economy class seats.

Qatar began using the 787 to London last week. The airline has 60 787s on order.
