Tiger Airways has received its 11th A320, with the aircraft to be added to its Sydney base to fuel new services between Sydney, Mackay and Coffs Harbour.

The airline’s commercial director Carly Brear said: “As the only low fare airline flying directly between the two biggest major capital cities and Mackay we aim to meet a consumer need as well as provide a welcome boost for domestic tourism and the local economy.”

The new five-weekly Sydney-Mackay service starts December 18, while the Coffs Harbour service begins on February 15.  Nonstop services between Melbourne and Mackay also commence on December 18.
