Virgin Australia’s chief operating officer Sean Donohue is set to take on the role of CEO at Dallas/Fort Worth Airport. Virgin Australia has confirmed Donohue will leave the airline towards the end of the year to replace long-serving and highly-respected Jeff Fegan who has occupied the post as DFW’s CEO for nearly two decades.

Fegan announced in January that he intended to retire but agreed to remain through the transition to a new CEO.

Sean Donohue has held executive responsibility for engineering, flight and ground operations, flight standards and safety among a broad operational portfolio. Additionally he has been in charge of Virgin’s regional ATR operations and Virgin Australia New Zealand.
