The air force chiefs of Australia, New Zealand and the UK were given a demonstration flight in the Airbus Military A400M at the recent Royal International Air Tattoo in the UK. Pictured are ACM Sir Andrew Pulford, Royal Air Force; AVM Peter Stockwell, RNZAF; and AIRMSHL Geoff Brown, RAAF standing on the open ramp together with an Airbus Military loadmaster.

The UK is a launch customer for the A400M, while the RNZAF has shown interest in the transport to replace its C-130H model Hercules. Longer-term, the A400M could be an option to replace the RAAF’s C-130Js.
