Qantas is offering a complimentary one-night stopover for passengers flying between its Asian ports and Santiago in Chile on its services.
The ‘Sydney Connect’ service will allow passengers flying to or from Santiago to connect to the Asian ports of Singapore, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Manila, Shanghai and Jakarta via Sydney on Qantas and enjoy a one night stay. Passengers using the offer will require an Australian visa.
“We’ve seen a significant increase in the number of South American travellers choosing to fly to Asia,” Qantas Executive Manager International Sales, Stephen Thompson, said in a statement. “By including a night’s hotel accommodation as part of the fare, we’re confident that our customers will find this pathway to Asia enjoyable, allowing them to arrive at their final destination well-rested.”
Qantas operates three non-stop return 747-400ER services per week between Santiago and Sydney. The aircraft have been reconfigured with lie-flat beds in business and a premium economy cabin.
The Sydney Connect offer will be available for booking June 23 for travel on or after June 30.
