Emirates has signed a 12-year OnPointSM solution agreement with General Electric for the maintenance, repair and overhaul of the GE9X engines that will power its 150 Boeing 777X airliner fleet.

The support agreement is valued at more than US$13 billion (USD) over the life of the contract from when it starts in 2020. Emirates ordered the aircraft at the 2013 Dubai Airshow, but didn’t finalise the order until early July. The US$15 billion engine order agreement is GE Aviation’s largest ever commercial jet engine award from an airline.
