Jetstar has announced new flights from Brisbane and the Gold Coast to Perth, as well as a boost to its flights from Melbourne and Sydney.
Daily flights from Brisbane will commence on December 10, while daily services from the Gold Coast will commence on April 4. Regular lead-in fares on both routes will start from $199 one way. Jetstar has also announced that it will expand its Perth-Melbourne services from 14 to 18 times a week and Perth-Sydney from daily to 11 times weekly from October 31.
“By better linking Perth through more low fares and new choice in destinations Jetstar’s flying hubs in south east Queensland can deliver more visitor access into WA from key customer markets,” said Jetstar CEO Bruce Buchanan. “Low fare access for Perth residents on flights directly into south east Queensland and the eastern states has never been easier as a result of Jetstar’s ever growing flight network.”
Coupled with the announcement of the increased Perth services, Jetstar has also launched a new three year, multimillion dollar joint marketing agreement with Tourism WA. It is expected that the increased flights to Perth will bring in an estimated $117 million in tourism revenue to the state.
