International light aircraft pilot register Earthrounders has recognised GippasAero’s GA8 TC Airvan, after the aircraft successfully circumnavigated the globe last year for charity.

Piloted by Ken evers and Tim Pryse, the Airvan had undertaken the flight to raise funds for malaria awareness, and so has become the first Australian designed and manufactured aircraft to be recognised by Earthrounders.

“I am delighted to hear that the Airvan has featured on Earthrounders, a clear validation of its strength and rugged nature. I had the privilege of meeting Ken and Tim when they stopped in Bangalore in the course of their global flight and was truly impressed with their perseverance and dedication to the cause,” vice chairman and managing director of Mumbai-based multinational industrial giant Anand Mahindra said.
