Hawker Beechcraft has announced that the final preproduction Hawker 200 has successfully completed its first flight.

“The aircraft performed exceptionally well during its two hour, three minute flight. Development testing is more than 50 per cent complete and the aircraft is meeting or exceeding all performance targets,” HBC executive vice president Shawn Vick said in a June 4 statement.

The latest Hawker 200 now joins three other aircraft in the certification program – the first Hawker 200 and two modified Premier aircraft – and will be used for systems certification, functional and reliability testing, and interiors certification.
