Virgin Australia has announced fares and scheduling for its planned ATR 72 services later this year, hours after the airline launched its ‘Capital Connect’ service between Canberra and Sydney earlier today.
Subject to regulatory approval, Virgin’s ATR services – which will be operated by Skywest – will initial operate on the following routes:
- Double daily week-day return Brisbane to Gladstone from October 17 (starting from $89 one way)
- Daily return Brisbane to Port Macquarie from October 19 (staring from $99 one way)
- Double daily Sydney to Port Macquarie from October 19; and
- Up to six daily return services between Sydney to Canberra from October 19.
