Cathay Pacific has announced three of its seven weekly Hong Kong-Adelaide services will operate nonstop during the Australian summer season from November 24.
The new direct flights will operate on Sundays, Wednesdays and Fridays, departing Adelaide at 7.45am and arriving in Hong Kong at 2.30pm, while return flights will depart Hong Kong at 7.20pm and arrive in Adelaide at 6.25am the next day. Currently all of the airline’s Adelaide services are triangulated with Melbourne.
“Cathay Pacific has been flying to Adelaide since 1992 and in this time we have grown to seven flights a week and seen growth in demand from travellers across the business, leisure and student markets particularly to and from China,” Cathay Pacific South-west Pacific, general manager, Dane Cheng, said.
“We believe the non-stop and same-day connections will also prove popular in bringing tourists into South Australia over our summer,” he added.
Cathay operates two class Airbus A330s on the route.
