Boeing’s banner week continued Thursday as the US aerospace giant announced deals for 55 of its 737 airliners from leasing company Aviation Capital Group (ACG).
The deal includes a commitment for 35 next generation 737 MAX single aisle jetliners and firm orders for 20 737-800s.
With the announcement, California based ACG brought its total orders and commitments with Boeing to 151 aircraft, including 146 737s and five 787-8 Dreamliners.
The 737 MAX, designed with upgraded engines to increase fuel efficiency, is scheduled for first flight in 2016.
Boeing has seen a run of major deals this week including an $18 billion order from Emirates Airlines and a $21.7 billion deal with Indonesia’s Lion Air.
