Embraer has used the grand opening of a new $41 million showroom to deliver its first US built Phenom 100 business jet.

The Brazilian aircraft maker opened an assembly plant for the $3.75 million entry level executive jet at the Melbourne International Airport in Florida in February, its first production facility in North America. The customer centre and showroom, which opened yesterday, represents the second phase of that project.

The first floor of the 5400sq m customer centre includes an atrium, a mockup showroom, a formal dining room and an event area next to a delivery hangar. The second floor includes suites that allow customers to conduct business or relax during delivery of their aircraft, Embraer says.

The centre also includes five studios that allow customers to design the interiors of their Phenom, Legacy and Lineage executive jets with the use of high-end 3D visualisation technology.

Kansas City based Executive AirShare took delivery of the first US built Phenom 100, increasing its fleet to 18 Phenom 100 and 300 aircraft, Embraer said.
