Local Cessna Citation distributor Aeromil Pacific has brought a Citation Sovereign business jet to Australia for demonstration flights as part of a wider regional tour.

The aircraft came into Bankstown on November 15 from Indonesia after stops in Japan, the Philippines, Vietnam and Singapore, before heading on to Orange and Adelaide the next day.

Cessna promotes the Sovereign as an ideal aircraft for Australia and the wider region, being able to reach anywhere in Australia from Sydney or Perth non-stop, possessing an excellent short and hot and high field capability, and having the ability to reach most South East Asian cities from anywhere in Australia with only one stop. Sales prospects in the region are “strong”, and nearly 300 Sovereigns have been delivered worldwide to date.

The Sovereign competes against the Bombardier Challenger 300, Lear 45XR, Gulfstream G100/150 and the Hawker 800XP.
