The Indonesian Air Force has taken delivery of the first two of nine Airbus Military C295 transports ordered earlier this year.

Indonesia will operate the aircraft as the CN295, using them for a variety of military, logistical, humanitarian and medical evacuation missions. All nine are scheduled for delivery by mid-2014.

To date, Airbus Military has sold 114 C295s, which it pitched unsuccessfully to Australia as a replacement for the RAAF’s Caribou transports.
