Billed as the world’s largest aerospace conference, the 28th Congress of the International Council of the Aeronautical Sciences (ICAS) will be held next week in Brisbane.
“The 28th Congress of the International Council of the Aeronautical Sciences is a fantastic opportunity for Australian researchers to feature on the international stage,” said Andrew Drysdale, president of the Australian Division of the Royal Aeronautical Society, which is hosting the conference along with Engineers Australia.
The conference will focus on topic including the effects of climate and volcanic eruptions on air traffic networks, the use of carbon composite materials in aircraft design, and the science and technology of hypersonic flight.
This is just the second time the conference has been held in Australia.
