Qantas (re-)inaugurates Gold Coast flights

written by australianaviation.com.au | October 30, 2012

Qantas has returned to the Gold Coast, operating its relaunched service from Sydney on Sunday.

Inbound tourism to the Gold Coast is a key focus of the service, with flight timings offering convenient connections from Jetstar’s Japan services and, subject to regulatory approval, will be one of the routes codeshared with Emirates under the recently-announced partnership.

Qantas says it sold 24,000 seats within two days of the service being announced.
