ATR has opened a new training centre in Singapore in a move to bolster support to the growing number of ATR customers in the Asia Pacific region.

The centre, located at the Seletar Aerospace Park, will support the training of flight crew and engineers. More than 600 flight crew a year can be trained using the full flight ATR 42-600 and ATR 72-600 simulator and “an integrated suite of flight training devices”.

ATR’s CEO Filippo Bagnato said: “ATR’s dedicated customer support centre for Asia Pacific, which has already been operating in Singapore for close to 25 years, to bring our comprehensive regional support services offering to a higher level hand-in-hand with the industry and public sector.”

Singapore joins ATR’s existing training centres in Toulouse, Paris and Johannesburg.  There are more than 250 ATRs in service in the Asia Pacific region.
