Singapore Airlines (SIA) will invest $95 million to upgrade the business and economy class cabins aboard its fleet of 10 777-200ERs.
Business class will see the installation of fully-flat sleeper seats in a four-abreast 1-2-1 configuration as is currently fitted on the airline’s A380, 777-300ER and A340-500 aircraft. In economy class personal LCD monitors will be increased in size from the current 6.5 inches to 9 inches, while seat covers will be replaced.
The upgrade will offer consistency of product across SIA’s fleet of long haul aircraft.
The upgraded aircraft will be progressively introduced across SIA’s network including Auckland (SQ282/281), Christchurch (SQ297/298) and Sydney (SQ241/242) throughout 2013 and early 2014.
