Melbourne’s RMIT University will offer its aviation management degree course in Singapore for the first time from January 2014.
The course is being delivered in partnership between RMIT and the Singapore Institute of Management and is the only approved Australian degree specialising in aviation management in Singapore.
Australian-based RMIT academics as well as local aviation experts employed by SIM in Singapore will deliver the Victorian syllabus for the Bachelor of Applied Science (Aviation) to students.
Victoria’s Aviation Minister Gordon Rich-Phillips said the collaboration with Singapore showed the depth of capability in Victoria’s aviation industry.
“RMIT University’s partnership with the Singapore Institute of Management comes at a time of enormous growth in the aviation industry in South-East Asia.”
The Singapore course will be offered from January 2014, with the initial intake limited to 25 students. RMIT offers education to 82,000 students worldwide, with campuses in Melbourne and two in Vietnam, and offers a variety of programs through partners in Singapore, Hong Kong, China, Indonesia, Malaysia, India and Europe.
