Australia Pacific Aviation Summit to be held in Sydney August 7-9

The CAPA Centre for Aviation will hold its Australia Pacific Aviation Summit in Sydney August 7-9 at The Four Seasons Hotel. In what is said to be the region’s biggest ever aviation strategy summit, an impressive line-up of speakers includes CEOs from airlines and airports across Australia and New Zealand, while a selection of leaders from airlines serving the region will present on the industry’s crucial issues.

Sessions on August 7 and 8 include the growth markets to watch, the new duopoly on the Tasman, long-haul low-cost carriers, China’s plans for the region, Qantas’ game plan, the Virgin Australia transition, the role of tourism and the partnership approach to attracting international services.

On the final day there will be two dedicated streams on airport Innovation and corporate travel Innovation.

The event will close with a Sydney Second Airport debate featuring Max Moore-Wilton (Sydney Airport), David Borger (Sydney Business Chamber), Paul Whittaker (The Daily Telegraph), Paul Howes (Australian Workers’ Union), David Elia (HostPlus) and Paul Hughes (Newcastle Airport).
