Virgin Australia services experienced significant disruptions on Tuesday when an outage saw its new Sabre-based reservation systems go offline for about two hours. The outage, which also affected several other airlines using the Sabre system, resulted in significant flight delays as Virgin moved to manual check-in procedures.
“Virgin Australia is working to reduce disruption to customers and sincerely apologises for any inconvenience caused to customers,” the airline said in a statement on Tuesday.
Flight delays of up to one hour continued into Wednesday morning.
