Virgin Australia will begin direct flights between Brisbane and Cloncurry November 27. Using 98-seat Embraer E190s, the service will operate on Wednesdays and Fridays.

People travelling to Brisbane from Cloncurry have needed to transit through Mount Isa or Townsville.
Virgin Australia has opened a number of regional routes in Queensland in recent months, including services between Brisbane, Moranbah and Bundaberg.
