Virgin Australia has announced it will add an additional four flights per week between Bundaberg and Brisbane and an extra eight flights per week between Moranbah and Brisbane.
An airline statement says the new services will be operated by 68-seat ATR-72 turboprops. The new services come after a period of several months where the airline had suspended growth in its regional operations as it battled compliance issues.
“Today’s announcement is part of our commitment to remain versatile and responsive to the needs of our customers,” chief commercial officer Judith Crompton said. “We commenced operating to Bundaberg and Moranbah last year, bringing strong competition to those cities. We are very happy with the support we have received from the local community to date and now we are responding to growing demand.”
