The winner of the prestigious Aviation Aeroskills scholarship at the 2013 Aerospace Education Awards has commenced study at Aviation Australia in Brisbane.

Mitchell Eikenloff was one of two scholarship winners through the Aerospace Gateway Schools program, and will have the costs of an institutional Certificate IV in Aeroskills at Aviation Australia covered by the scholarship.

He has previously done work experience with Prop Care Australia at Archerfield, Boeing Defence Australia at Amberley, and with Airmed in Oxford in the UK.

The Aerospace Gateway Schools program was started in January 2004, initially as a partnership between Education Queensland, Boeing Australia Limited and Aviation Australia, and is designed to create pathways for students to enter into Queensland’s aviation and aerospace industries.
