A C-130J Hercules from the RAAF’s 37SQN was in Canada conducting cold weather training from January 26 to February 9.
The aircraft and its crew were at Iqaluit on Baffin Island in the Canadian arctic “to expose maintenance and aircrew personnel to operating their aircraft in cold weather conditions.” The training was conducted with their counterparts from Canada’s 436 SQN which also operates the C-130J.
Iqaluit is a popular destination for cold weather testing, and is used by both Airbus and Boeing for new model testing.
