CAE has begun training at its new Perth training centre, the Canadian-based simulation and training company announced last week.
The new Perth facility features Fokker 50, Fokker 100 and Embraer Phenom 100 full flight simulators plusbriefing rooms, a multi-use classroom, offices and workshops facilities, and can train “approximately 2,000 crew members and cadets per year at full capacity”, CAE says.
The Fokker 50 and 100 simulators have been relocated to Perth from other CAE training centres, while the Phenom FFS is owned by the China Southern Airlines-CAE jointly owned China Southern West Australian Flying College, which operates the Phenom 100 for advanced pilot training.
“CAE is pleased to expand its presence in Australia to better serve the needs in the region,” said Nick Leontidis, CAE group president, civil simulation products, training and services. “This new addition is in line with our strategy to leverage and expand our network in the proximity of our customers to better serve them.”
