Virgin Australia’s Velocity loyalty program will give one of its members an opportunity to win a seat on the Virgin Galactic SpaceShipTwo commercial space flight.
The airline says members will be given an opportunity to upgrade to the seat on SpaceShipTwo by registering online and by saying what they would do to win the upgrade.
“Virgin Galactic’s mission is to revolutionise access to space, making a trip across the final frontier accessible to all,” Virgin Galactic commercial director, Stephen Attenborough said in a statement. “The ultimate upgrade captures the Virgin passion for innovation, upgrading a member of the Velocity program with a seat to space and an opportunity to be part of history. There is world-wide anticipation for the first flight and I look forward to welcoming the Velocity Frequent Flyer member on board SpaceShipTwo.”
