Nextant Pacific has sold its first dedicated air ambulance in Australia to local aeromedical operator Careflight Ltd.
Careflight has bought a modified Hawker 400XP to be based in Darwin and operated by Business Aviation Services (BAS), Nextant Pacific said on Thursday. Nextant Pacific was able to competitively source the aircraft as the 400XP is the basis for Nextant Aerospace’s remanufactured and upgraded Nextant 400XTi.
BAS project manager Mark Scott said the aircraft would begin flying from late July, while Careflight general manager Paul Smith said the aircraft would enhance the aeromedical charity’s capability in Australia’s north and was a welcome addition to the fleet.
Nextant Pacific managing director Jon Oppenheim said the aeromedical business was a key focus area for the aircraft sales and acquisitions company, which is the local sales agent for Nextant Aerospace in South East Asia, Australia and New Zealand.
