An Airbus A350 development aircraft has completed a series of hot-weather trials at Al Ain in the UAE.
The tests were designed to check the functionality of the aircraft’s engines, passenger cabin systems, air conditioning, avionics and other systems after being subjected to heat-soak temperatures of more than 40 degrees C.
Airbus says the A350 program is on track to achieve certification in the third quarter of this year and to commence services with launch airline Qatar Airways by the end of the year.
