The Department of Defence has advised that all CT-4B trainers operated by BAE Systems at the Basic Flying Training School (BFTS) at Tamworth have returned to service.
Operations of the aircraft were temporarily suspended on June 10 following a precautionary forced landing by one of the CT-4Bs in a field near Gunnedah which defence has attributed to a “control issue.”
In a statement to Australian Aviation, a Defence spokesman said; “All aircraft have been inspected and were cleared to fly from the morning of 19 June 2014. There was no significant change to BFTS pilot training course schedules as a result of the incident.”
