Jetstar has taken delivery of its seventh Boeing 787, with the arrival of VH-VKG in Cairns on Tuesday afternoon. Operating as JQ7992, the aircraft departed Paine Field at 10:26am on Monday, touching down in Cairns 13 hours and 47 minutes later at 5:13pm on Tuesday.

VKG’s arrival comes barely a week after the airline’s sixth 787, VH-VKH, was delivered to Cairns on August 18. (VKH entered revenue service on August 23 when it operated JQ35 Melbourne-Denpasar.)

All 12 787-8s on order for Jetstar are expected to be in service by the end of 2015.
