Australian-based Airbus senior vice president of sales for the Pacific Isabelle Floret has been recognised by the French government for her service to the aviation industry.
Floret was awarded admission to France’s Legion d’Honneur, the country’s highest distinction for outstanding civil service, Airbus said in a statement on Monday.
The award was presented to Floret, who has been based in Australia in her current role since 2006, at the company’s Toulouse headquarters on January 23 “in recognition of her career and service to the European aerospace industry, which has benefited the French economy”, Airbus said.
Floret, who is a qualified aeronautical engineer, started working at Airbus in 1982 as a customer engineering manager. She has also had a number of senior roles in the contracts department, the company said.
