Crowds at the upcoming Australian International Airshow at Avalon will be treated to a flying performance from Awesome Global Stars duo Mark Jefferies and Tom Cassells.
The pair promises to fill the skies with “smoke, noise and stunning aerial antics” during the Airshow in Extra 330 aerobatic aircraft.
Jefferies says he is excited about returning to Avalon.
“I had so much fun participating in the Avalon Airshow in 2013 and with my Awesome Global Stars two-ship display, I cannot wait to turn the smoke system on,” Jefferies said in a statement.
“The display sequence will include various extreme aerobatic manoeuvres that are designed to show the sometimes unbelievable capabilities of the Awesome Extra 330 aircraft, which are sure to be a great crowd pleaser.”
Jefferies and Cassells are national aerobatic champions in the UK in various categories and have featured at airshows around the world.
The chief executive of Global Stars sponsor Awesome Aviation Dieter Ebeling said the two men were “super-talented acrobatic pilots”.
“Their pulse-racing manoeuvres that wowed the crowds at the Farnborough Air Show (in 2014) are sure to have spectators on the edges of their seats at Avalon,” Ebeling said.
Ebeling recently won two medals at the 2014 FAI Intermediate World Aerobatic Championships.
Awesome Aviation is an aircraft leasing company based in Perth.
The Avalon Airshow runs from February 24 to March 1.
