West Australian aviation enthusiasts, those keen to take the first step towards a career as a pilot or curious what flying an aircraft involves are invited to the Royal Aero Club of WA and WA Aviation College open day on Sunday May 24.
Held at Jandakot Airport in Perth between 10am and 4pm, the event will feature joy flights, learn-to-fly seminars and a static aircraft display featuring modern jetliners and vintage planes.
Royal Aero Club of WA client liaison manager and flight instructor Charlee Hateley said aviation was an incredibly rewarding and achievable career.
“Hands on control of an aircraft is the best way to find out if flying is really for you,” Hateley said in a statement.
“Visitors can experience the first step toward a pilot’s licence by taking a discounted trial introductory flight on the day.”
More information can be found on the club’s website.
