Deliveries of the new King Air 350i began in December following the awarding of US and European type certification, Hawker Beechcraft announced on January 13.

The 350i features Rockwell Collins’s new Venue cabin management system, with a 15.3in (39cm) swing-out monitor in the forward entertainment cabinet and optional screens at each passenger seat, and introduces the Beechcraft ‘FlexCabin’, where owners can reconfigure or remove aft club seating components to meet requirements of specific flights. Other features of the new interior include an all-new headliner, seat tailoring and tables, electrochromic window darkeners, LED lighting, increased legroom and optional seat warmers. Finally, cabin noise has been cut by 4 dBA to an average of 78 dBA.

Local Hawker Beechcraft distributor Hawker Pacific says it hopes to bring a demonstrator King Air 350i to Australia in the first half of 2010.
