While it might not have been an Airbus A380 that Real Madrid used to fly Down Under, players and officials from Liverpool Football Club would still have had plenty of room to stretch out on their long flight to Australia.

The famous Merseyside club is in Brisbane to play a friendly match against A-League club Brisbane Roar on Friday night, before taking on Adelaide United in the South Australian capital three days later.

The squad arrived in Brisbane on Wednesday on board a chartered HiFly Airbus A340-500 CS-TFX from Bangkok, where they beat a Thai All-Stars team 4-0 on Tuesday night.

The flight touched down at about 1315 local time. According to flight tracking website Flight Aware, CS-TFX remains on the ground in Brisbane.
