A system safety program manager at Raytheon Australia has been named the Australian Industry and Defence Network (AIDN) national young achiever of the year.

Brodie Ryan, 30, was recognised for his work at Raytheon as part of the Air Warfare Destroyer (AWD) Alliance, comprising members from Raytheon and ASC, at the AIDN awards presentation in Canberra on Monday.

Raytheon Australia managing director Michael Ward said Ryan has achieved a lot in his seven years with the company.

“Brodie is a great example of Raytheon Australia’s strong pool of talent in Adelaide, many of whom play an integral role as part of the company’s 500-strong combat system workforce,” Ward said in a statement.

“Australia’s defence industry is in very capable hands with young professionals like Brodie taking on senior roles within the most complex programs in defence procurement.”
