The local chapter of not-for-profit group Women in Aviation International is holding its inaugural Australian conference in Brisbane in October.
The event on October 28-30 features guest speakers such as Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) squadron leader and C-17 Globemaster pilot Samantha Freebairn, Boeing Flight Services senior campus manager Marilyn Andre, acrobatics pilot Paul Bennet and geophysicist Dr Zara Dennis from Monash University.
Delegates will also get a behind-the-scenes look at Brisbane Air Traffic Control, RAAF Base Amberley and Boeing Flight Services, as well as participate in workshops and networking opportunities.
Aspiring or successful aerospace engineers, pilots, airline executives, as well as those already working in aviation in areas such as air traffic controller or airport operations, are encouraged to attend.
More details about the conference can be found on the Women In Aviation Australian chapter website.
