Fly Corporate has expanded its regular public transport (RPT) operations with the start of nonstop flights between Brisbane and Tamworth.

The inaugural service kicked off on Monday, with flight FC662 operated by 19-seat Metro 23 turboprop VH-VEU taking off from Tamworth airport at about 0630, arriving in Brisbane a little over an hour later.

The schedule for the new route features an early morning departure from Tamworth and an afternoon flight from Brisbane on weekdays. There are also additional flights on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays.

Canberra-based charter operator Corporate Air, which has been in operation since 1972, moved into the RPT market in April, establishing Fly Corporate and launching Brisbane-Coffs Harbour as its inaugural route.

Since then, the airline has added flights from Brisbane to Moree, Narrabri, Tamworth and Armidale.

Fly Corporate has a fleet of four Saab 340Bs and two 19-seat Metro 23 turboprops for its RPT services.
