written by Newsdesk | June 26, 2024

Singapore Airlines (SIA) announced plans to start daily flights between Singapore and Beijing’s Daxing International Airport from 11 November 2024, pending regulatory approvals.

The new service will give travellers convenient access to Beijing, Hebei and Tianjin regions via the airport’s transport links.

SIA will also increase flights to Beijing Capital International Airport to 21 weekly services from 5 August 2024, up from 18 currently.

This will bring SIA’s total weekly flights to Beijing to 28 from November 2024.

The inaugural flight SQ810 to Beijing Daxing is scheduled to depart Singapore at 0030hrs on 11 November 2024 and arrive at 0635hrs local time.

SIA will operate Boeing 787-10 aircraft on the new route, featuring 36 Business Class and 301 Economy Class seats.

Mr Dai Haoyu, Acting Senior Vice President Marketing Planning at Singapore Airlines, said: “China is a key market for the Singapore Airlines Group. This new flight to Beijing Daxing allows SIA to offer an additional daily service to Beijing, a popular destination for both tourist and business travellers.”

With the addition of Beijing Daxing, the SIA Group – comprising SIA and low-cost subsidiary Scoot – will serve 24 destinations in mainland China.

Mr Kong Yue, Vice President of Beijing Daxing International Airport, said: “Singapore Airlines is the first foreign airline to operate services from Beijing Daxing International Airport to Singapore. We believe the inception of Singapore Airlines at Beijing Daxing International Airport will bring about a renewed sense of energy and opportunities.”

Tickets for the new Beijing Daxing services will be available for sale through various distribution channels from 24 June 2024.

The expansion reflects SIA’s commitment to the Chinese market as travel demand continues to grow.
