Star Alliance LAX lounge wins top North American award for fifth consecutive year

Star Alliance’s Los Angeles International Airport lounge has been named North America’s Leading Airport Lounge at the World Travel Awards for the fifth year running.

The award was announced at the Caribbean & The Americas Gala Ceremony held in Saint Vincent on 1 July 2024.

Star Alliance CEO Theo Panagiotoulias said: “Our aim at Star Alliance is to make air travel more effortless and stress-free. Lounges are essential for improving the airport experience, and our Star Alliance LAX lounge has been a standout since its inception.”

He added: “I want to express my heartfelt appreciation to the hardworking team that ensures our LAX lounge operates flawlessly around the clock. Additionally, I thank our Star Alliance member airlines for their ongoing partnership, which has contributed to the lounge’s success over the years.”

The 18,000-square-foot lounge is renowned as one of the finest airport lounges globally, featuring an outdoor terrace with firepits, a water wall, and views of the Hollywood Hills.

It offers a calm pre-flight experience with ample space for relaxation, work and dining.

The World Travel Awards, established in 1993, celebrate excellence across the travel, tourism and hospitality industries.
