Qatar Airways has announced a partnership with the UEFA Champions League, extending until 2030.
The deal strengthens the airline’s presence in European football, building on its previous sponsorships of UEFA EURO 2020 and UEFA EURO 2024.
Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Officer, Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer, said the partnership aligns with the airline’s vision of fostering unity and celebrating excellence.
“As the Official Airline Partner of the UEFA Champions League, Qatar Airways is dedicated to transporting thousands of fans to this esteemed competition,” Mr Al-Meer said.
The agreement includes sponsorship rights to the UEFA Super Cup, UEFA Youth League and UEFA Futsal Champions League.
UEFA President Aleksander Čeferin welcomed the expanded partnership, citing a shared commitment to providing exceptional experiences for football fans worldwide.
The airline will offer UEFA Champions League fans discounts of up to 12 per cent on light fares and exclusive ticket promotions through its Privilege Club.
Qatar Airways launched a campaign video featuring football legends Ricardo Kaka and Rio Ferdinand to celebrate the announcement.
The partnership adds to Qatar Airways’ extensive sports sponsorship portfolio, which includes FIFA, AFC, and various football clubs and sports events globally.
Qatar Airways, voted World’s Best Airline for the eighth time at the 2024 World Airline Awards, currently flies to over 170 destinations worldwide.
