written by Newsdesk | October 2, 2024

Scoot, the low-cost subsidiary of Singapore Airlines, has announced network adjustments for the upcoming Northern Winter season in response to anticipated stronger travel demand.

From November 2024, the airline will increase weekly flights to Chiang Mai from 10 to 11, and to Hanoi from five to six.

December 2024 will see further expansions:

  • Perth services will increase from 13 to 14 weekly flights
  • Melbourne flights will rise from 12 to 13 per week, expanding to twice daily from January 2025
  • Seoul (Incheon) via Taipei will become a daily service with three additional weekly flights
  • Tokyo (Narita) via Taipei services will increase from 12 to 14 times weekly

Calvin Chan, Chief Commercial Officer of Scoot, said: “We are happy to announce more flights to popular destinations such as Australia, Japan, and South Korea in the Northern Winter season, to cater to higher demand especially during the holidays and festive season.”

Within Southeast Asia, Scoot will boost flights operated by Embraer E190-E2 aircraft:

  • Davao services will increase from seven to nine times weekly
  • Balikpapan and Makassar flights will each rise from three to four times weekly

The airline recently launched daily services to Subang, Malaysia, on 1 September 2024. It will also begin operations to Kertajati (Greater Bandung) in Indonesia on 28 September 2024 and Malacca in Malaysia on 23 October 2024.

However, as part of network optimisation efforts, Scoot will suspend services to Ningbo, with the last flight scheduled for 26 October 2024.
