written by Newsdesk | April 15, 2025

Singapore Airlines (SIA) has been named Roy Morgan Research 2024 International Airline of the Year at the annual Customer Satisfaction Awards held in Melbourne.

The carrier received the accolade for the fifth time, having previously won in 2018, 2019, 2022 and 2023.

SIA was recognised as the Best International Airline for customer satisfaction, rated first against major international airlines serving Australia.

SIA Regional Vice President South West Pacific Louis Arul said the award win was a credit to the team.

“On behalf of the entire Singapore Airlines team, I would like to thank Roy Morgan and our customers for their vote of confidence. This award honours Singapore Airlines colleagues across the world and our commitment to service excellence,” he said.

“Australia is one of our most significant markets, and for more than 55 years of operations Down Under, our customers’ comfort, travel experience and safety have remained our top priorities. This is the fifth time SIA has received this prestigious award and we are honoured and grateful to be recognised again.”

Roy Morgan CEO Michele Levine said Singapore Airlines continues to outperform other international airlines with unmatched levels of customer satisfaction.

“Singapore Airlines is once again head-and-shoulders above the competition and has won a fifth straight Roy Morgan Annual Customer Satisfaction Award as the International Airline of the Year – winning in 2018 and 2019 (pre-pandemic), and since the pandemic ended, winning in each of the past three years – 2022, 2023 and 2024,” she said.

“In an extremely competitive and hard-fought industry the consistent high performance of Singapore Airlines in delivering unmatched levels of customer satisfaction to travelling Australians is impressive. Singapore Airlines emerged from the pandemic period on the front foot and the airline is clearly the satisfying airline for Australians setting off on overseas adventures.”

The airline achieved an average customer satisfaction rating of 94.3 per cent in 2024.

For the first time, Singapore Airlines won all 12 monthly satisfaction awards in 2024, placing it among the most trusted brands in Australia.

SIA finished among the top 10 companies represented as the ‘Best of the Best’ across all 38 categories measured by Roy Morgan.

Singapore Airlines and its low-cost subsidiary Scoot currently operate 169 weekly flights from seven Australian cities, connecting to a global network of 125 destinations across 36 countries.
